Community Groups at CPC exist to promote living the Christian faith together. Our hope is that these groups lead to not only spiritual growth but also real bonds of fellowship and familial love. The Christian life is meant to be lived in community.
We currently have 8 community groups meeting twice or more per month in the homes of church members in Sun City (retirees), Northwest Georgetown (empty-nesters), West Georgetown (younger-middle aged families), Liberty Hill (younger-middle aged families), Round Rock (one made up of younger families and another of empty-nesters), Leander (younger-middle aged families), and on Zoom (retirees). While each group is free to choose their format, the most common one is to begin with group prayer, engage in discussion over the sermon, a book, or section of Scripture, before engaging in fellowship over a potluck meal. Groups are also encouraged to invite newcomers to our church and to explore service opportunities in their geographic locations.
If you are interested in joining a Community Group, please contact Daniel McDowell for more information and to sign up for a group.
